I thought so, too, David. Your uncle, is he also an Original Six fan? Habs? We were thinking of talking to Michael Ignatieff but haven’t investigated whether he is into hockey or not. Could be an interview for the future. Check back, we’ve asked some interesting folks to appear here.

What a human politician! Felt like I was listening to my hockey crazed uncle. What a true fan of the sport.

Can’t imagine any other politician talking so candidly–about either hockey or his family. Certainly not Count Iggy, who keeps wanting to remind us of his aristocratic stock. Boooring.

Otherwise, keep up the good work. Glad I stumbled on this.

Excellent interview. I love the start with the hockey anthem discussion…

Great first question in regards to living in Hudson, which got Jack going down memory lane with his father and uncle… I thought the story about the lights at the forum was pretty cool. Nice subtle correction when it come to Gordie’s position… Very good question about funding or arenas and resulting discussion…

Nice job. I really liked the two questions about allowing U.S. sports media entry into Canada and government involvement in the payment for arenas. He side-stepped them both, but great questions.

Gordie Howe? Defenseman? Interesting.

Very entertaining podcast. Some interesting stories from the NDP leader, who knew that someone would jump from a train in an attempt to make practice!
