Reggie And The Logo

October 7, 2009, by Homme De Sept-Iles

Maybe it’s just easier to be a fan of another team, in another city, where the storyline, where the narrative of personality is more important. In Montreal, the narrative, the chief theme, is win the Stanley Cup. So Brother Bob (Blanche) went ahead and made the changeover. Now, which city has the most thematic, most pneumatic approach? A cult of personality? Which one?

I’d rather see what the heroes I knew will do. What is it worth to work to understand a person, a player, only to see him leave? Once again, I have to (I choose to) ask and answer the question, why am I going to watch tonight’s game? Not for the last time this season.

Explicata and apology: No Musings and In-Game Scribbles tonight. I need to watch the games more closely for a time til I am more familiar with the players. I could still Muse the game using the digital file if there is enough demand for it.
