Price Glowing
October 27, 2009, by Homme De Sept-Iles
I was having good coffee and exorbitant dessert with some old, dear friends tonight.
Price traded.
Those were the glowing words that interrupted our interlude. The words were glowing blue on one friend’s cell-phone. I said, what? What. What! (Lemme see)
Is your friend reliable?
I was told he was reliable. (He never texts Canadiens info)
Calls were made. Inquiries were hastened. Attempts to confirm this electric blue message. And while we waited there was relief. There was hope. There was incredulity. There was analysis. There was the floor tilting back as my belief in justice and destiny in the hockey multiverse was restored.
Maybe Bob has come to his senses – maybe we can still get something for him – this means our goaltending situation is resolved; we have a confirmed number one!
Then more news via the glowing phone; Price had been traded to Chicago.
What. For the benched former Canadien, Huet? What. For Kane? For Sharp? What. For draft picks? What? We must needs know what.
And just as the sugar frothed and the beans took hold … the truth came out. It was just a rumour. A disembodied voice had checked the internet. Carey Price was still a Hab. There was no trade. There was no Chicago. There was no goaltending retribution. There was just a rumour. And a glowing phone.

I heard that too and had to look further to see it was only a rumour. The problem is, there’s not enough madness going on so something had to be done.
As long as none of those habs get traded to the Pens my planets will still be aligned properly. Hey HDS! When is the next coffee appointment?
Dennis; madness is scarce indeed. But let’s wait for the 31st to decide.
Dan, you are underestimating The Team again. I will email you regarding beans.
