The Diachronic Barber Pole Observations of a Recovering Hockey Exile

The Leaf and the Bruin

May 10, 2010, by Homme De Sept-Iles

A Leaf seeing a Bruin hard at work harnessed to a plow, tormented him with reflections on his unhappy fate in being compelled to labor.  Shortly afterwards, at the playoff festival, the owner released the Bruin from his yoke, but bound the Leaf with cords and led him away to the altar to be slain in honor of the occasion.  The Bruin saw what was being done, and said with a smile to the Leaf:  “For this you were allowed to live in idleness, because you were presently to be sacrificed.”

Moral: He laughs best that laughs last
