dripping, giant, white;
that frosted symbol of hockey elegance
turns
in my onion backyard
i’m a pinhole lumberjack
heat and heist, heifer and humble
habs sewn over all
the summer is for all
i pardon myself, nod of the hat, sorry ma’am
but the hot red brick, the infernal saloon
your piranha lips
are perfumed shame,
i draw water
hope October
will freeze me write
